So as a dedicated Orb Devo player, it was time to create a detailed dedicated guide to Orb Devo - which for most will lead to increased coin gains and overall Tower progression.

As a result of running Orb Devo, I've been able to catch up with a lot of players who started a lot earlier than me and particularly the ones who just run the default Blender Strategy (early game). So, I was hoping to share some insights which can hopefully help speed up your progress as well.

That being said though, there are so many variables in the game, and depending on your Lab, Cards, Ultimate Weapons , Modules and so forth, the exact scenario can look quite different - but I've tried to address most of these cases as well as I can - including lots of info boxes and situational tips on screen during the video. And for the various scenarios that I may not have covered, feel free to ask in the video comments.

The video took a lot of effort to make, so give it a like if you enjoyed it, and consider subscribing to stay tuned for future content. Cheers.

Ok, so some have requested more details about the hoarding strategy of Orb Devo that I am running that nets me a lot more coins than running default blender approach of just maxing things. So today I figured I’ll share a lot more details about it. And please note that this may be a quite long and detailed video, so I’ve added video chapters in the description so that you can jump to whatever section you prefer.

Introduction

But ok, first of all, Orb Devo is a so-called Devo strategy - which means that you are devolving certain parts of your tower to carry out a specific strategy. And with Orb Devo you are essentially removing specific workshop stats from your tower to hoard up a lot of enemies and kill these at the same time with orbs when you have your coin multipliers active.

There are other hoarding strategies too. Such as Orbless Strategy [WIP]. But orb devo is the most beginner-friendly and AFK-friendly hoarding strategy - whereas Orbless require a lot more damage and micro-management to pull off effectively. So it only becomes truly relevant later in the game, and me for example, I’m not ready for it - or got time for that.

But so for most, doing orb devo nets a lot more coin and progress than running regular so-called Blender, which refers to just maxing everything in a run and using free upgrades. For me personally, when I first started orb devo it netted me about 30% more coin, and now it easily nets me 300+% more than blender - which is what we call it if you are just maxing stuff and relying on Free Upgrades. 30% may not sound that much in isolation, if it was just a score, but when it’s coins that you can then use to further get stronger and so forth, it really is a snowballing effect. And the deeper you get into Orb Devo, the more and more it will outperform blender.

And as a result of running orb devo, it has meant that I have been able to catch up with and surpass many, many players who started long time before me but who has only been running the blender strategy.

And what’s so good about Orb Devo, beyond the increased coin gain is that it so easy to do and doesn’t require lengthy damage lab upgrades or lots of stones to pull off. It’s an easy transition from blender.

However, there are some main caveats and requirements that I want to clarify up front - as there may be scenarios where orb devo is not helpful or relevant to you.

And it goes without saying that everyone’s tower is different. So take all the advice given here today with a grain of salt. Try tweaks that may benefit you and your tower, and feel free to ask questions or share more details about your exact build in the comments section if there is anything you are unsure about.

Base Requirements

But OK, so let’s first cover the base requirements:
