Certain things in the game utilize so-called Banker’s Rounding, such as Multiverse Nexus.
The Multiverse Nexus module is great for helping sync your Death Wave, Black Hole, and Golden Tower. However, the way it actually rounds the average sync cooldowns is less well known:
- If average cooldowns equals a number ending with 0.66, then it rounds up (as expected)
- If average CDs equals a number ending with 0.33, then it rounds down (as expected).
- If average CDs equals a number that ends in 0.5, then it rounds to the NEAREST EVEN number (so-called Banker’s Rounding). This means that if your sync time average equals 101.5 then it rounds up, and if you have 102.5 then it rounds down! And this is because 102 is the nearest even number (i.e., not odd number)
