Epic modules can mean two different things:

1. Rare Modules merged to become Epic Modules, which are often used early in the game before you have acquired #2.
2. Unique Epic Modules acquired directly from the Standard Banner or Featured Banner with gems. These epic modules have unique abilities, and are the main modules to focus on in the game. These are sometimes referred to as “natural epics” or “unique epics”. These are the main modules used in the game for Armor Modules, Cannon Modules, Core Modules, and Generator Modules.

When purchasing modules for gems, epic modules have a 2.5% chance of appearing.

Epic modules can be merged to become Legendary Modules.
