This progress update video is listed on The Tower - Knowledge Hub, a platform where I seek to make resources and information about the game a lot more interconnected and less fleeting, siloed and one-dimensional than what is typically shared elsewhere. You’ll find anything from Tools & Infographics, Abbreviations, Glossary, Guides & Strategies and more.

Hi again! So, there’s been some massive improvements and changes since last update - so today we’ll go through that! In fact, these latest changes to my game are so big that they will really, really affect my path going forward.
Also, since last time, please note that I have released a separate detailed Orb Devo Guide for Increased Coin Gain & Progression guide - please check that out if you want to learn the Orb Devo strategy in more detail. I’m a perfectionist, so I think there is always room for improvement - but I think it’s a very concise and quite complete guide - so check it out.
The one thing I’m annoyed I didn’t cover in more detail, now in hindsight. Is targettting priority. I did say that you should target basics, which is the general default go-to strategy, but I should have covered that it may also depend. For example, you can try to target Protectors above Basics to see if that helps get rid of Protectors easier - though I don’t see that much difference. Or, if you in tournament or milestone runs are struggling to get your DW health multiplier, you could initially target tanks at the beginning of your run just to try to make more enemies stay around for the Death Wave health multiplier, and so on. Lots of situational stuff that can apply, but targetting basics at the top and elites/bosses at the bottom is the general way to go.
Workshop:
- Anyways, jumping into the update. For workshop, there are not that many changes. But since I respecced as I was creating the Orb Devo strategy and wanted to show recording without wall, and because I anyways wanted to undevo for milestone runs and for testing Legend tournament strategies - it meant that I would have to respec. And I’ll get into more details about my tournament and milestone runs a bit later, but so the respeccing changed the workshop slightly.
- Basically, every time I respec I upgrade my EALS and EHLS a bit higher than what they were before - because it is easier to do so when you have a lot of coins available instead of when you are scrapping by after each single run. And the same I do for cell and coin enhancements as you’ll see in a second.
- And so, for the respec redistribution, I’ve just sacrificed some coins that was previously in Health, Regen and Damage workshops and damage labs - and then just gradually been levelling those up again before next tournament - as it doesn’t matter if my Damage or Health workshop is at 5600 or 5400 for my farming runs, and also not for Champ tournaments. So yeah, I think that’s a pretty clever redistribution every time you respec as the ELS skips helps your farming and progression - but at the same time you avoid having to spend days saving coins to get those up a few levels.
- Another tip by the way, when it comes to respeccing is to lab your Utility workshop discount a few levels before you do so. That just virtually nets you some coins when you have a fair amount of ELS workshop levels.
- But so yeah, that’s really it for the workshop.
Enhancements:
- And similarly, for enhancements, it’s a similar story as the workshop in terms of redistribution after the respec. Because, once I suddenly had over 300T coins on hand, I could then add a few more levels in the expensive coin and cell enhancement than I had before. And then I sacrificed some damage enhancements, which I would then just gradually increase again before the next tournament - and which anyways do not matter at all for my orb devo farming.
- Also, once I get closer to 500-600T LTC, I will even do a lot more extreme approach of this to reach the ELS enhancements by more or less not putting any coins into defense and attack enhancement at the start of a respec. That should become a quite nice shortcut to get to the juicy ELS enhancements.
