Blender refers to the default game strategy of just maxing your workshop and where you usually rely on orbs killing most enemies and thorns handling elites and bosses. However, as you get stronger, you will also increasingly rely on damage and crowd control.
Blender is usually considered the second beginner build for new players - after the Turtle Strategy (early game) build. For many, it will be the go-to build for a long time - particularly if you are not willing to “micromanage” your runs and rather just want to start a run and set-and-forget without having to do much (or anything) at all in the run.
PS! This guide will seek to offer advice and insights on the Blender build later in the game journey. For early-game Blender, see instead: Blender Strategy (early game).
Importantly, a Blender strategy can be either Effective Health (eHP), Hybrid or Glass Cannon. This largely just depends on your strength, but also your Tower setup (such as modules and cards).
eHP Blender
Starting out, virtually all Blender strategies will be eHP builds, where you rely on:
Hybrid Blender
Exactly what defines a “hybrid Blender” build can greatly vary, and it is rather best summarized as a combination of eHP Blender and Glass Cannon Blender, usually as a transition towards Glass Cannon.
Glass Cannon Blender
As your Tower get stronger, you’ll essentially get so strong that enemies can one-shot you. By then, you can consider yourself a Glass Cannon as health and regen will no longer matter to your progression and you could in theory run with 1 hp and reach the same wave length.
