For Bots you want to fully work on one bot a time. And importantly, you’d want to first focus on Golden Bot. There are several reasons for this, particularly that bots are not very effective until further upgraded, and that unlocking bots costs an increasing amount of Medals - which is a scarce and limited currency earned through the Event.

• Bot unlock costs

Bot Unlock Order

1. Golden Bot:

Upgrade Order:

• Generally prioritize range, keeping bonus slightly behind, and only consider cooldown for specific Sync strategies initially.

The reason we are concerned with range first is because we need to make the bot consistent by covering a sufficiently large area. In other words, it wouldn’t help you much if you had a large bonus if your bot is so small that it doesn’t cover a sufficient area where enemies are being killed - particularly during your Black Hole cycle.

Once you have maxed - or gotten close to maxed - range and bonus, you can consider moving to the next bot. It is also worth pointing out that “duration” becomes more relevant if you are not doing a Devo hoarding strategy and also when you have permanent Golden Tower and Black Hole, as then you are more heavily concerned about “uptime” as opposed to having a specific cooldown matching with your econ Ultimate Weapons (Sync).

2-4. Picking the Next Bot(s) to Develop

As for which bot to focus on after you have developed your Golden Bot will depend on your priorities and play style. For many, the natural focus will be Amplify Bot to enhance damage output - especially for Glass Cannon builds. However, if you have an Effective Health (eHP) build, then Flame Bot may be a stronger consideration due to its strong damage reduction.

Moreover, with the introduction of Bot Presets and Bot Cooldown Sliders in the game, you are now more flexible to try different strategies that suit you and your build. However, unlock these features cost a lot of Keys in the Vault, and may be out of reach for you for a long while.

Amplify Bot

When to Unlock:

• 2nd if Glass Cannon,
• 3rd or 4th if Effective Health (eHP) build and wanting to focus deeper on eHP farming.

Upgrade Order:

• Focus on range first to maximize boss coverage, then improve the bonus for enhanced damage. You may also consider adjusting the bot’s cooldown according to either a desired farming Sync strategy and/or specific tournament Boss Wave cycles, etc.

Flame Bot

When to Unlock:

• 4th if Glass Cannon
• 2nd-4th if Effective Health (eHP) build.
• Your overall build and priorities will dictate the relevance and desire to unlock and upgrade the Flame Bot. If you are a Glass Cannon, then the impact of Flame Bot is minimal as you are not really concerned with damage reduction and you probably will want to pick Flame Bot as your fourth and final bot to develop. However, for eHP builds, the Flame Bot’s 80% damage reductions essentially mean a 5x increase in Health and Health Regen, which can be very impactful to your farming runs. Though, note that at some point you may need more damage output for tournaments - even as an eHP, so you will need to consider what you will prioritize in terms of your bot development.

Upgrade Order:

• As with all bots, you want sufficient range for consistency. And you also want lower cooldown for greater consistency.
• If unlocking and upgrading Flame Bot to enhance your eHP build, then the Damage Reduction (and the lab Flame Bot - Burn Stack) is important to max.
• If unlocking and upgrading Flame Bot as the fourth bot and as Glass Cannon, you will focus on maxing damage multiplier first instead of enemy damage reduction.

Thunder Bot

Unlock Order:

• 3rd-4th if Glass Cannon build
• 3rd-4th if Effective Health (eHP) build

Upgrade Order:

• Maximize this bot for effective crowd control. You essentially need to maximize the Thunder Bot in order for it to become impactful.
